WMAFO Volunteer Agreement

If accepted as a WMAFO volunteer, you will be required to abide by the terms of our Volunteer Agreement. The agreement below details what WMAFO will expect of you and what you can expect from WMAFO.

I will treat all animals and other volunteers with respect and I will work as a team member with all volunteers.
I will abide by all WMAFO policies and procedures and follow the directions/instructions of the WMAFO board members/officers.
I agree to work under the supervision of WMAFO representatives and will report any problems that arise directly to the Board of Directors or a WMAFO officer in a timely manner.
I understand the possible risk of bringing home illnesses from being in contact with other animals (ferrets) during certain volunteer opportunities.
I understand the potential safety risks of working with animals and that I may not bring friends or relatives with me while volunteering without prior authorization from a WMAFO officer.
I authorize WMAFO to seek emergency medical treatment for me in case of accident, injury, or illness.
I will not misrepresent my position within WMAFO or make promises or contracts for the organization that I am not authorized to make.
I agree to indemnify and hold harmless WMAFO, its Board of Directors, officers, and/or agents from any and all liability whatsoever arising out of/or related to my duties under this agreement or for any negligent act or omission by WMAFO, its Board of Directors, officers, and agents.

If you fail to abide by the terms of this Agreement, or are otherwise unable to meet the requirements of the volunteer program, which are subject to change by WMAFO, understand that you will be terminated from the program. Also understand that you may be removed from your position as a volunteer at any time, subject to the discretion of the Board of Directors.
