Welcome to the Washington Metropolitan Area Ferret Outreach, serving ferrets and ferret owners in the Washington, DC metro area.  We do not have a central shelter, but are a home-based rescue and placement service for ferrets.  We are a 501(c)3 charity and all donations are tax deductable.

We serve the Washington, DC metro area including Northern Virginia and Maryland suburbs.  We need volunteers and foster homes! If you would like to help, please click on the Volunteer link in the menu and complete an application.

You need JavaScript enabled to view it with the number of ferrets, names, ages, any health issues, details on most recent vaccinations and a photo.  We currently have a waiting list for surrenders, but we are happy to list your ferret for adoption on Petfinder.com to try to place them straight from your home.
